Terms of use

Who runs this

EPIC Music Festival, San Diego, California. Owned and operated by Evolution Entertainment LLC. This site is the public page for EPIC's own shows and for the production side that builds them.

Tickets are sold on Eventbrite

No ticket is sold on this site. Every Get tickets button opens the Eventbrite listing for that show, and the sale happens there under Eventbrite's own terms. If this site and the listing ever disagree on a price, a tier or a time, the listing is the one that counts.

Refunds and transfers

No refunds. That is the term on the listing itself, not something added here.

Transfers and resale are handled by the site you bought your ticket from, under that site's own policy. Check there.

Getting in

Every EPIC show on record has been 21 and over with a valid photo ID at the door. Doors, last entry and the venue for a given show are on that show's page.

Anything else about the door, bags and re-entry included, is posted on that show's page closer to the date.

A ticket is permission to come in on the day it is for. It is not property, and EPIC can take it back.

EPIC can refuse entry, or ask you to leave, if your ID does not check out, if you are putting other people at risk, or if you break the rules on that show's page. If that happens there is no refund, and that is true however much of the night is left.

What you are taking on by coming

An EPIC show is loud, dark, crowded, and usually outdoors. That is what it is for, and it carries real risk.

The music is loud enough to damage hearing over a long night. Bring earplugs if you care about your ears.

Outdoor shows run on whatever surface the venue has. In a crowd, people push. Drinks get spilled, things get dropped, and lighting, haze and CO2 fire close to where you are standing.

By coming to an EPIC show you accept those risks, and you agree that EPIC, Evolution Entertainment LLC, the venue, the artists and the crew are not on the hook for the ordinary consequences of them.

That does not cover anything EPIC does recklessly or on purpose, and nothing here signs away a right that California law says you cannot sign away.

The show can change

Lineups, set times and which DJ plays which stage can change, including on the day. Shows run rain or shine. If a show is moved or cancelled outright, what happens to your ticket is handled through Eventbrite.

Text messages

EPIC will only text you if you give it your number and ask for it. On the presale form the number box is optional, and leaving it blank changes nothing else about your place on the list.

You do not have to give a number to buy a ticket. Nobody is kept out of a presale for leaving it blank.

If you do give it, the texts are about the show you signed up for: the presale link, the set times on the day, and a change if the night moves. Not advertising for anything else.

Reply STOP to any of them and they end. Reply HELP for a person. Message and data rates from your carrier are yours.

Nobody at EPIC has sent a text yet. The moment that changes, this is the deal it changes under.

Production work

The forms on the Production page are enquiries, not bookings. A quote is an estimate of what a build would cost. Nothing is booked, held or owed until EPIC confirms it in writing with you.

Photos and video at the shows

EPIC shoots photo and video at its events and uses it to promote them. If you are in a photo and want it taken down, ask @epicfestsd on Instagram.

What is on this site

The EPIC name, the wordmark and the flyers belong to EPIC. Photos of the shows belong to EPIC or to the photographers who shot them. Some pictures on this site are free to use stock stand-ins and are marked where they sit. The go-go dancer photo on the Production page belongs to San Diego Model Promoters and is used with their permission.

Do not reuse any of it for another event or another business without asking first.

What EPIC does not promise

This site is published as it stands. EPIC tries to keep every date, price, time and lineup on it right, but a page can be wrong between a change and the fix.

EPIC does not promise the site is always up or always error free.

If a court decides EPIC owes you money over this site or over a ticket bought through it, the most EPIC owes is what you actually paid for that ticket.

If you cause the problem

If you break these terms, or break the law at a show, and that lands EPIC in a claim from someone else, you cover what it costs EPIC to deal with it.

Reaching a person

Tickets, the presale list and anything about an order: [email protected]. DJs, performers, vendors, sponsors and production work: [email protected].

Instagram is where EPIC already answers: @epicfestsd. The forms on the Production page reach the system EPIC runs its events in, and a person reads what comes in.

If something goes wrong between us

Tell EPIC first, in writing, at [email protected]. Say what happened and what you want done. EPIC gets 30 days to sort it out with you before anyone goes anywhere else. Most things end here.

If that does not settle it, California law applies and it goes to the state or federal courts in San Diego County.
